The children’s behavioral health inpatient program at Gulfport Behavioral Health System offers short-term treatment to children (4 to 12 years old) who are experiencing a psychiatric crisis. The goal of the program is to stabilize the child’s emotional or mental health issue and teach them and their family to develop coping skills that can help avoid future crisis after they leave our care.

The program features evidence-based treatment methods and daily meetings with doctors, therapists and other behavioral health professionals. Each treatment plan is individualized to meet the specific needs of the child. A level of care, confidential assessment determines the initial level of care a patient receives.

We proudly offer all our programs to active military members and their families through TRICARE.

Gulfport Behavioral Health System can help provide intervention, identify the appropriate level of care, conduct level of care assessments and make referrals when necessary.
